According to the National Cancer Institute, treatments of Skin Cancer are:
-Simple excision - cutting the tumor out.
-Radiation therapy - using ionizing radiation to kill cells in the body including cancer cells.
-Photodynamic Therapy - using a drug called photosensitizer and a type of light to form a type of oxygen that kills cells nearby.
-Chemical Peel - using chemicals to peel off layers of skin and it can get rid of the tumor.
-Skin Cancer can be treated many ways but if it is left untreated it could spread to other parts of the body and can be fatal. This is why we need to give treatments to people with skin cancer and to keep finding new ways to cure it.
